Here is someone who has read all the books for beginners, and is rapidly improving. play online tournaments and certainly no longer a beginner. looking for something to take him to the next level. thanks.

By far the best poker book Super / System 2 Doyle Brunson, this The book also has a lot of participants, such as Mike Caro, Daniel Negreanu, Jennifer Harman, Bobby Baldwin, Todd Brunson and Johnny Chan. Only the DVD's I've seen are the ones by Howard Lederer. Only the second is no good the average player. The first DVD is very simple and it does not tell u anything u do not already know. Good Luck!
