poker for macs
What is the average level of laptop to get?

I'm looking for a laptop mainly for watching movies / Scan / playing online poker and things that nature, and perhaps a small amount of gaming, but it is not a big priority. I'm looking at $ 600, 800ish area. I do not know much of anything about the specs or any wildlife, so any advice at all would be awesome. Speed is huge to me, as well as it looks, and that it is a pc … NO MACS. Also looking for something thats not at all be relevant in the coming years, hoping to be able to keep it in time.

that is a pretty decent budget machine you want. The following is more than enough for what you need: 4 GB of RAM, expandable to 8 GB (at least to go to 3GB) HDMI output for films if you intend to connect my hi def TV 16 "or 17 "display, many processor options – go to 2.3 GHz or faster clockspeed (2.0GHz is probably the smallest.) Central level or better video card (check http://www.notebookcheck.net/Comparison-of-Graphic-Cards.130.0.html) – not strictly necessary, taking gaming Toshiba S6057 at Tiger Direct, and $ 829 is something like that if you are looking to buy a new (Nvidia GT330M is okay.) Asus G72GX RBBX05 redesigned system is pretty nice at that price point ($ 769 – 6GB RAM + graphics GTX260M – Not too shabby.)
