Poker Tutorial DVD intermediate player?
Hey, what is the best poker tutor DVD out there that I should get? I've been playing online, Winstar casino and poker house in your area, and I would get a tutorial DVD. There are so many DVDs out there and I do not know which one to get. Any help is appreciated.
The first off, let me give you some props to try to improve your skills. Many players never to this point, and deserve some credit for that. Start by answering question, I would say that the DVD is probably not the best place to start for someone looking to improve his game. The DVD has the advantage that they are likely to maintain one's attention like a book or class, but the DVD has a couple of drawbacks. For the most part, these basically means that the DVD is difficult to cover so much material so much depth than many other sources of poker information at a given price point. The point is that the DVD includes a couple of hours tops (ie up to a couple of topics can be covered in depth) material you can learn, but the DVD is likely to cost about $ 20. Now I've said, why the DVD is not necessarily the best place to start, lets talk about what are good places to start. My suggestion here is that the seats would be good places to intermediate player to start, as well as a logical progression should help in their studies. For most players well-written book would be the best place to start. Now I am going to make assumptions about that when you say in poker means No Limit / Spread Limit Texas Hold'em, but I generalize this recommendation to other games. If my assumption was correct, here are a few good books to help you create a good foundation for improvement listed in no specific order. – "Harrington on Hold'em: Volume I" ISBN 1-880685-33-7 This kit includes 3 parts, each of which is based on before, and it covers a wide range of strategic and tactical concepts related to tournaments. – "Harrington on Cash Games, Part I: How to Play No-Limit Hold'em Ring Games "ISBN 1-880685-42-6 This is a 2-volume series, each of which is based on a pre-covering strategic and tactical concepts ring. – "Super System 2" ISBN 1-58042-136-9 Graduate book was originally published in 1979. The newer version is updated to reflect the way poker is played today. Has contributions from many experts in different areas of poker. Now all the books I have listed, with the exception of Super System 2, which deals specifically NL Holdem. Other games, what I could suggest is to take a brief survey, in particular in the game that you play and find some well-known experts who have written books. Here is a brief list of some books which I found useful, and their games. Limit Hold'em – "Secrets of Professional Poker: Winning Strategies For Serious Players "ISBN 1-90446-8403 Omaha -" Secrets of Professional Poker: Winning Strategies for Serious Players "ISBN 1-90446-8403 Stud (7 card) -" Seven-Card Stud Advanced Players "ISBN (13) 978-1880 685 235 Now that the books are covered, be sure to take the next step. Start reading poker articles online. A good place to should start on site as www.pokerpages.com. Sites like these are free, and they contain articles on various topics, which will surely help you increase the depth of your skills. When you take these steps is the last step to take. This will set your new skills to the test properly. Here are topics that you've read online, such as bankroll management, comes into play. At this stage you should be able to play poker in an intelligent, able to adapt to different situations, be able to handle the ups and downs, and should continue to try to improve your game. One way to improve your game at this stage would be to join the poker site guidance, which I do not have much information. Recommend doing a lot of research of all the competing schools and make an informed decision, if you decide to pay for one. Hopefully that answered your question, and helped give you a direction to improve your job skills. If you have any questions answer me, and I will try to help you out. Good Luck! >> Djd011
