That's what I say if I were a politician. The truth is … I am not. So I do not have to impress people with my words or deeds.
But let's be realistic …
I've been giving blood for almost a year (my first year). The local blood bank is not going to attract me to donate more frequently because of the war in Iraq, life of a recipient of the blood that changes the testimony, or because my name is an honorable mention on its website. I'm so easily amused.
What we have for hardened donor is a rewards program offering. Every time you donate to accumulate points redeemable for gifts from her life in the thrift shop. The more times you donate, the more points you get. If you accumulate as many points, you can get the most pleasing treats.
But even that incentive has been eroded around the edges, because you have more than one year of regular donations for a gift that will not be ashamed to look to your friends. I'm not kidding. That coal handbag was the Chairman Mao not only match my wardrobe. For many of us, its rewards program loses steam.

I do not know what I do with the Chargers t-shirt I earned. One thing is certain, he was not motivated to donate blood without this incentive to moment.
